Twang Guitars Music Shop - South London - 0208 676 0926 - Cort parkwood 320 m acoustic guitar.

Cort Parkwood PW 320 M

This is a excellent sounding guitar, all solid with ebonized grover machine heads, scooped rosewood bridge, mahogany neck and a solid spruce top with an open pore natural finish.

The solid tone woods used have been selected for their sophisticated overtones. The guitar comes with a good quality soft case.

The bridge design has a recessed contour allowing a decent angle to the string pegs, resulting in greater sustainability.

The single piece mahogany neck has a smooth satiny finish and good contouring which feels just right and carries Grover tuning machines. The frets are tapered and set well into the binding.

The guitar's body is trimmed with white binding extending up the neck and around the headstock on which a diamond shaped abalone with it’s own inlaid horizontal diamond shell adds just enough tasteful trim to an otherwise moderately dressed guitar.

The neck has a truss rod that is adjusted through the sound hole and it is easy to make adjustments.

A peek inside also shows good workmanship and doesn't  reveal any traces of glue or splinters.

You can play this guitar as delivered but there is scope for personal setup.

The weight of the Parkwood is medium and as it is well balanced and most players would handle it comfortably.

The 320 M is a responsive guitar that plays very consistently all the way up the neck it is surprisingly resonant for a guitar in its price bracket and works fine in the bass response region. It has a rich overall tone that blends well.

The treble range is bright and sustains a nice bell like tone that we usually associate with premium brands and also has plenty of volume. The scalloped bracing allows the top to vibrate freely - yielding better bass and treble.

Style wise this guitar will translate very well for finger picking, strumming or flat-picking and indeed most musical styles. The tonal qualities will be appreciated by a vast array of musicians.

Cort instruments always show integrity in both design and quality and although they are not a high end brand, they match up favourably against other brands in their market and other well known brands with a higher price tag.

A good guitar for both beginners and professionals.
