Rare Miles Platting V50 Valve Guitar Amplifier

This is a Rare Miles Platting 50w Valve Guitar Combo from the early 1970's. It was built in Doncaster by Wilsic electronics. They were originally built between 1972 and 1977 for JHS (John Hornby Skewes) and sound like a cross between a Marshall and a Fender.

This is a beautiful sounding amp, very clean on one channel and with a very 1970's gutsy distortion sound when driven. Sounds like Slade! The amp has just been serviced by our engineer and has had a new rectifier valve fitted. It's a lovely old amp and would be ideal for someone looking for that 1970's rock sound. This is a very loud amp and can be used for lead, bass organ and PA! I;ve only tried it with a guitar and it sounds awesome.

As it is a large and heavy item we cannot post this amp so buyer collects.

Looking online I found an original advert for the head and cabinet version of this amp which has the same specification as our combo:
